Keep the entire family engaged at some of Byron, Georgia’s area attractions and events, where fun is the name of the game.

Cool off at the splash pad at North Peach Park in Byron, or wander the trails, play ball, have a picnic…you may even capture a Pokemon there.

Let the kids work out some energy with an hour or two at the Party Playground Indoor Fun Center in Byron. This room full of inflatables and soft play equipment will let your little ones run, jump and play, rain or shine. It’s also a great place to have a birthday party.

The Georgia Peach Festival and the Battle of Byron offer plenty for the kids: continuous entertainment, festival food,arts and crafts, face painting, and much more.

About 11 miles southwest of Byron, Lane Southern Orchards in Fort Valley offers fun farm tours that vary by the season. April and May mean trips into the strawberry patch. Farm tours are scheduled June and July. Kids will enjoy watching from the elevated catwalk as peaches are sorted and packed on the Packing Line Tour May through August. And who can resist an October corn maze? Cap off a visit any time of year with peach cobbler or homemade peach ice cream from Lane’s Peachtree Café and Bakery.

Venture 10 miles southeast of Byron to the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, Georgia and use the self-guided scavenger hunt guides to see the vintage military aircraft in the museum’s hangars.

Also in Warner Robins, Rigby’s Entertainment Complex offers 50,000 square-feet of cosmic bowling lanes, a skating rink, two-level laser tag arena, arcade, outdoor go-karts, 19-hole mini-golf, and more, to keep visitors of all ages thoroughly entertained.

The Go Fish Education Center, about 15 miles south of Byron in Perry, Georgia at Exit 134 off I-75, lets kids see freshwater aquariums and habitats filled with trout, bass, alligators, turtles, and more; catch fish in the stocked pond; test their skill in the interactive fishing and boating simulators; try out the interactive shooting room; and so much more.

Time your visit in October for the Georgia National Fair in Perry and enjoy exciting thrill rides, free concerts, a circus, livestock shows, fair foods (deep-fried candy bar, anyone?), and nightly fireworks shows.
